Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the investigation to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of murder, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the killings, public figures shared divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and suggested they revealed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
