On Monday, the court learned call records and data obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported child disappearance cases and continues to be unsolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

One voicemail, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I understand I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? What then? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," the message continued.

The jury was informed that via emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a bid to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the data, told the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the communication logs.

On 9 October 2024, the father picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I will persist and I plan to establish my claim."

The court learned communications between the two accused, in that autumn, considering endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her bins or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We must take action," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the trip to their house, the defendant transmitted a text which expressed: "We're currently positioned outside the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark resembling detectives. I had hoped to accomplish this with another person I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
