These initial sketches and watercolour studies will then be worked on in the workspace, with attendees completing multiple interpretive scenes in acrylics to be shown in the village. Participants has sole use of the venue, which is built around an open courtyard and has a roof terrace with views over the countryside. The price includes five days of painting tuition; all meals; and an trip to the local castle and additional local sights.

Vegetarian Cooking in the Algarve

This sun-drenched cooking retreat, set on a riverside villa in the inland Algarve, is draws inspiration from the plant-based cuisine of celebrated cooks. St Ives is the ideal setting for a maritime music retreat. Guests will learn traditional shanties from a experienced musician, and have a go at composing original ones.
